Welcome to the LATINO HEART BLOG!

May 10, 2010

Hello, my name is Elsa and I’d like to welcome you to the Screenwriter Consortium’s LATINO HEART BLOG.

Check out our website to learn more about the Screenwriter Consortium.

Our blog’s mission: Call attention to the lack of entertaining, English-speaking, Latino-centric feature films produced by Hollywood.

It’s 2010. ‘Bout time, wouldn’t you say?

Members of the Screenwriter Consortium contribute to an inventory of Latino-centric, English-speaking, feature film screenplays depicting American Latinos from across the country in diverse genres. What we strive for above all else: ENTERTAINMENT… from a Latino POV.

But we need your help. After all, you are the sought-after audience Hollywood so desperately needs to keep. You have the power to pull the movie industry out of the Dark Ages.

Please tell Hollywood it’s time to recognize the American Latino audience.

If friends show support, we will be heard. Spread the word. Unidos venceremos.

Each week, we’ll feature an article discussing American Latino purchasing power, the need to serve the American Latino audience, and the advantages of serving this powerful demographic.

This week’s article:

A special treat, an award winning, ground-breaking documentary exposing the real Hollywood…

For your entertainment, may we present a collection of humorous stories for the following weekly series:

CRUISING WITH CORONA…Only punk b1tches slip up.

DEAR ESPERANZA…Esperanza goes to Arizona–what a mess.

THAT’S BARRIO…Barrio bookmobile.

MIJA…Mija’s mandatory hunger strike.

BARRIO DICTIONARY…Navigate Spanglish—barrio style.

To kick it with Corona…

Thank you for sharing your valuable time with us.
